BIG NEWS: SN&R, FLYWHEEL & OUR NEW LOOK

OUR NEW LOOK:

WELL, WHAT DO YOU THINK??  We totally redid the look & feel of our site, and are happy to have a bit more maneuverability around in the posts & pages. Streamlined categories, updated tags (for easily finding that one post) and a nice clean magazine layout make us super happy moving forward.

FLYWHEEL INCUBATOR: 

WE MADE IT!! We told you we’d been applying for an awesome business incubator program through the Arts & Business Council of Sacramento… We were up against some incredible local businesses, and were officially selected from the 40+ that applied. We will be journeying through the next year with the help of Sac ABC, as well as the 9 other creative businesses who are also in our inaugural class. Check out the official announcement (& other businesses who made it)!

We had a big “Meet the Press” event last week (full photo album) to introduce Sacramento to the Flywheel participants, where we each had a visual presentation and chance to explain our company to the press. We then had a photoshoot and individual interviews with a number of different local publications.

 

First big thing of the incubator: Juniper James is going to be featured in Comstock’s Magazine (!!) as a part of the incubator, but also just as a company helping to develop the local economy for creatives here in Sac. Coming out in their July issue. Stoked.

{ Speaking of PRESS… }

WE’RE ON THE COVER of this week’s Sac News & Review! We’ve always had a great relationship with SNR, and this time we had the pleasure of working with our good friend & photographer, Wes Davis of Beatnik Studios. We get to highlight what’s hot for Summer, and feature great pieces from the local shops we love so much. 

We haven’t seen the selected images yet, but we shot a bunch with Kari and Connor, (who looked adorably charming head-to-toe in Good Stock Boutique summer gear)…

Can’t post the pics before it comes out on newsstands, but keep your eyes peeled around town come THIS WEDNESDAY for our shiny happy mugs on the cover.
